FEDERAL DOT INSPECTIONS FOR LARGE COMMERCIAL TRUCKS AND SEMIS
Applicable commercial motor vehicles must complete a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months. Bo’s Garage provides annual Federal DOT inspections for large trucks and semis at our Thomasville shop.
The inspection reviews the applicable safety components required under federal periodic-inspection standards. Any defects or deficiencies discovered during the inspection are documented and reviewed with you.

Why Annual Inspections Matter
MORE THAN A STICKER—A REVIEW OF SAFETY-CRITICAL SYSTEMS
IDENTIFY DEFECTS BEFORE THEY BECOME ROADSIDE PROBLEMS
Annual inspections help identify worn, damaged or improperly operating components that could affect the safe operation of a commercial vehicle.
The inspection covers the applicable vehicle areas identified by federal periodic-inspection standards. A vehicle must meet the required inspection criteria before it can be documented as having passed.
Motor carriers remain responsible for keeping their vehicles properly inspected, maintained and documented between annual inspections.
