HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL EMISSIONS SERVICE

Aftertreatment & Engine Performance

ADDRESS WARNING LIGHTS, DERATES AND REGEN CONCERNS

EMISSIONS-SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIR FOR COMMERCIAL DIESEL ENGINES

Modern heavy-duty diesel engines use multiple engine and exhaust components to manage emissions. A fault within these systems can trigger warning lights, regeneration problems or reduced engine power.

Bo’s Garage provides emissions and aftertreatment-system diagnostics and repair for commercial trucks, semis and select charter or tour buses.

Call with your engine information, warning lights, fault codes and symptoms so we can confirm service availability.

Why Emissions Diagnosis Matters

A WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN THE FILTER ITSELF HAS FAILED

ENGINE, EXHAUST AND ELECTRONIC PROBLEMS CAN CREATE SIMILAR SYMPTOMS

Aftertreatment performance depends on proper engine operation, exhaust temperature, sensor information and the condition of the emissions components.

A regeneration or filter-related warning may be caused by an engine-performance concern, damaged wiring, a failing sensor or another problem elsewhere in the system.

Proper diagnostics help identify the underlying cause before expensive emissions components are replaced.

EMISSIONS-SYSTEM WARNING SIGNS

DPF, DEF or SCR warning lights
Frequent or unsuccessful regeneration
Engine derate or reduced power
Check-engine or stop-engine warnings
Exhaust-temperature warnings
DEF quality or level concerns
Increased fuel consumption
Abnormal exhaust smoke
Recurring aftertreatment fault codes
Changes in engine performance
Our Process

FROM WARNING LIGHT TO REPAIR DIRECTION

SYSTEMATIC DIAGNOSIS OF THE ENGINE, EXHAUST AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS INVOLVED
1

REVIEW THE INFORMATION

We discuss the warning lights, fault codes, regeneration history and operating symptoms.

2

INSPECT THE SYSTEM

Visible exhaust, wiring, sensor and fluid-related components are checked for applicable concerns.

3

TEST & DIAGNOSE

Electronic information and related engine or aftertreatment systems are evaluated to locate the likely cause.

4

REPAIR & VERIFY

Approved repairs are completed, followed by appropriate operating and fault-system checks.

Heavy-Duty Aftertreatment Systems

ENGINE OPERATION, EXHAUST FLOW AND ELECTRONICS WORK TOGETHER

SERVICE BASED ON ENGINE CONFIGURATION, FAULT INFORMATION AND TEST RESULTS

Depending on the engine and findings, service may involve the EGR system, diesel oxidation catalyst, diesel particulate filter, SCR and DEF system, sensors, dosing components, wiring or related engine controls.

Aftertreatment configurations vary by engine and model year. Call with the engine manufacturer, model, fault codes and warning-light information so we can confirm service availability.
