HEAVY-DUTY COOLING SYSTEM & RADIATOR REPAIR

Engine Temperature Control

KEEP HEAVY-DUTY ENGINE TEMPERATURES UNDER CONTROL

OVERHEATING DIAGNOSTICS, COOLING-SYSTEM SERVICE AND RADIATOR REPAIR

A heavy-duty diesel engine produces significant heat, especially when pulling a load or operating for extended periods. The cooling system must circulate coolant and move heat away from the engine consistently.

Leaks, restricted airflow, poor coolant circulation or a failing component can cause overheating and lead to more extensive engine damage.

Bo’s Garage provides cooling-system diagnostics and radiator repair for commercial trucks, semis and select charter or tour buses.

Why Overheating Needs Attention

EXCESSIVE HEAT CAN DAMAGE MORE THAN THE COOLING SYSTEM

IDENTIFY THE CAUSE BEFORE CONTINUING TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE

An overheating engine may be caused by coolant loss, restricted flow, poor airflow or a component that is no longer operating correctly.

Because several cooling-system problems can create similar symptoms, replacing one visible component may not resolve the underlying cause.

Inspecting the complete system helps identify where the problem begins and which repair is needed.

COOLING-SYSTEM WARNING SIGNS

Engine temperature running above normal
Overheating or temperature-warning lights
Visible coolant leaks
Recurring coolant loss
Steam from the engine compartment
A noticeable coolant odor
Temperature changes under load
Cooling-fan operating concerns
Discolored or contaminated coolant
A radiator showing visible damage
Our Process

FROM OVERHEATING CONCERN TO COMPLETED SERVICE

SYSTEMATIC INSPECTION OF COOLANT FLOW, AIRFLOW AND RELATED COMPONENTS
1

REVIEW THE SYMPTOMS

We discuss when the overheating or coolant-loss problem occurs and how the vehicle is being operated.

2

INSPECT THE SYSTEM

The radiator, hoses, connections and other visible cooling-system components are checked for concerns.

3

TEST & DIAGNOSE

Coolant circulation, airflow and related operating components are evaluated as needed.

4

REPAIR & VERIFY

Approved repairs are completed, followed by appropriate temperature and operating checks.

Heavy-Duty Cooling Systems

FROM THE RADIATOR TO COOLANT CIRCULATION AND AIRFLOW

SERVICE BASED ON ENGINE CONFIGURATION, OPERATING CONDITIONS AND FINDINGS

Depending on the vehicle and diagnostic findings, service may involve the radiator, hoses, clamps, water pump, thermostat, fan, belts, coolant reservoir, sensors or related components.

Cooling-system configurations vary by engine and vehicle. Call with the year, make and model, engine manufacturer and overheating symptoms so we can confirm service availability.
