DIESEL PERFORMANCE UPGRADES
Power, Response & Reliability
BUILD A DIESEL ENGINE AROUND THE WORK IT NEEDS TO DO
PERFORMANCE COMPONENTS AND UPGRADES FOR HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL APPLICATIONS
A diesel performance upgrade should complement the engine, drivetrain and way the vehicle is operated. The right components can support stronger response, dependable operation and improved performance under demanding conditions.
Bo’s Garage installs select performance and replacement components for commercial diesel trucks and heavy-duty applications. We work with CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Mack, Volvo, Paccar and International engines.
Call with your engine information, current configuration and performance goals so we can discuss suitable options and service availability.

Choosing the Right Upgrade
MORE POWER IS ONLY USEFUL WHEN THE COMPLETE SYSTEM CAN SUPPORT IT
MATCH COMPONENTS TO THE ENGINE, DRIVETRAIN AND WORKLOAD
Performance components should not be selected in isolation. The engine condition, fuel system, airflow, cooling system, transmission and intended workload can all affect whether an upgrade is appropriate.
Before recommending parts, we consider the engine model, existing modifications, vehicle application and the result the owner wants to achieve.
This approach helps avoid mismatched components and allows the upgrade plan to support the vehicle’s overall operation.
Product and installation availability depends on the engine, vehicle configuration and intended application.
UPGRADE OPTIONS MAY INCLUDE
Our Process
FROM PERFORMANCE GOAL TO COMPLETED INSTALLATION
AN UPGRADE PLAN BUILT AROUND THE ENGINE AND THE WORK IT PERFORMS
DISCUSS YOUR GOALS
We review the engine, vehicle application, current performance and the result you want to achieve.
EVALUATE THE CONFIGURATION
The existing engine setup and applicable supporting systems are considered before components are recommended.
SELECT THE COMPONENTS
We discuss compatible options, required supporting parts and the proposed scope of work.
INSTALL & VERIFY
Approved components are installed, followed by appropriate checks for the application.
Performance Starts With Engine Condition
UPGRADES CANNOT CORRECT AN UNDERLYING MECHANICAL PROBLEM
ESTABLISH A SOUND FOUNDATION BEFORE ADDING PERFORMANCE COMPONENTS
An engine experiencing low oil pressure, overheating, excessive smoke, abnormal blow-by or recurring fuel-system problems should be properly evaluated before performance parts are installed.
If diagnostic testing identifies internal wear or another mechanical concern, repairing or rebuilding the engine may be the appropriate first step.
Bo’s Garage can evaluate the engine, explain the findings and help determine whether the vehicle is ready for an upgrade or requires repairs beforehand.
