HEAVY-DUTY OIL AND OIL-FILTER SERVICE FOR COMMERCIAL DIESEL VEHICLES
Clean engine oil is essential to the performance and longevity of a heavy-duty diesel engine. It lubricates internal components, helps control heat and carries contaminants away from critical moving parts.
Bo’s Garage provides oil and oil-filter service for commercial trucks, semis, Class 6–8 vehicles and charter buses. We use the correct oil specifications and service procedures for the vehicle and its operating requirements.
Regular service can help reduce internal wear, support proper oil pressure and identify developing concerns before they become larger engine problems.

MORE THAN A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE
THE RIGHT OIL AND SERVICE INTERVAL MATTER IN A HARD-WORKING DIESEL ENGINE
Heavy-duty diesel engines operate under demanding conditions. Long hours, heavy loads, frequent idling and severe operating environments can place additional stress on the engine oil.
Over time, oil can become contaminated and lose its ability to provide effective lubrication and protection. The oil filter also collects soot, metal particles and other contaminants that should not continue circulating through the engine.
Oil-service requirements vary according to the engine, mileage, operating hours, workload and manufacturer recommendations. Our team can help you determine when your truck or bus is due for service.

When Is Oil Service Needed?
LET OPERATING CONDITIONS GUIDE THE SCHEDULE
FOLLOW THE ENGINE MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDATIONS AND PAY ATTENTION TO HOW THE VEHICLE IS USED
Oil-service intervals are not the same for every commercial vehicle. A truck that spends long hours idling, carries heavy loads or operates in demanding conditions may have different needs than one used primarily for highway travel.
Consult the engine manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and consider mileage, engine hours and operating conditions. If the service history is unknown or the vehicle has recently been purchased, call Bo’s Garage to discuss an appropriate starting point.
Possible warning signs that should be evaluated include:
An oil change will not correct an underlying mechanical problem. If we identify signs of a leak, excessive consumption or abnormal engine wear, we can recommend the appropriate diagnostic or repair service.
